Welcome to the First Call for the 20th Annual National Guard Retiree’s Conference to be held at Camp Blanding, 25-28 March 2010.  (This conference is open to all Retirees, of all branches of the military, Enlisted, and Officer). Three days in our (deluxe?) accommodations...three socials...three outstanding dinners...two delicious lunches...two breakfast buffets ...and three nights of quality entertainment from SASS N BRASS. We are working on a very special program to celebrate our 20th year of these annual conferences.  The theme for Friday will be a Tropical Paradise and will end Saturday night with a Military Salute.  We will have a silent auction as a fund raiser. If you have items that you would like to donate to the silent auction please bring them with a suggested start bid amount.

How could you pass up three days of fun, food, and laughter for less than the cost of a one night room in Disney?  We have day packages available for those who can not join us for the entire time. We also offer a package for those living in the Blanding, Starke, and Keystone areas, and do not require billeting, with a fee of $65.00 which covers all the food and entertainment. There will be no charge for those of you that can only make the meeting on Saturday. Due to the increase in cost of food and billeting we regret that we must raise the registration fee to $110 per person and individuals that are not willing to share accommodations will be charged an extra $25 per person.  Come join us for the day, the evening, or the entire weekend. Whichever you choose, you are guaranteed a great time.  We thank every one for your understanding and support.

We need a committee chair to coordinate the activities for those of you that would like to golf and use the pistol ranges.  If any of you have a special craft making project, like quilting, knitting, flower arranging, Christmas projects, wood and paint projects that you would like to show us, please bring your supplies for Friday. Also bring along those card and board games.  Most of all there will be plenty of time for socializing, time to renew old friendships, enjoy great food, refreshments, and entertainment. We will have plenty of accommodations available so mark your calendar and come and join us.

What a fabulous time we (you) are going to have.  Why not sit down right Now and Send in your registration including the friends you want to bring with you.  Although we booked all the houses and quarters, the accommodations will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis, with priority to those attending the most days. No one should need to stay in the Q Huts. Those bringing others with them may want to share accommodations, please indicate that on the registration form.  Based on our estimated attendance, we can accommodate everyone; please only sign up for the days you will be there as we are required to pay for what we reserve.  If our response is greater than anticipated we have arranged accommodations at the Blanding Hilton. Come join us for an unforgettable time.
